Mike Shebanek has been a leader in accessibility technology throughout his career spanning over 30 years. He is currently the head of accessibility at Facebook and has held product and accessibility leadership roles at Apple, Verizon Media, and Yahoo.

As head of accessibility at Facebook, Mike leads efforts to make the digital world inclusive for people with disabilities. Mike’s longtime passion for accessibility began during his role at Apple as product manager for the original iMac and iPad. He was a member of the team that developed VoiceOver, along with other accessibility features now found in every Mac, iPad, and iPhone.

A ceaseless evangelist, Mike was instrumental in founding several industrywide accessibility initiatives including Teach Access, the Disability Collection, and XR Access, he holds several technology patents and is an author and guest speaker.
