3 Dimensions for Inclusive and Accessible AI

Description

Since the rise of ChatGPT, LLMs, and now multi-modality, the possibilities of AI have ignited the accessibility community. However, truly inclusive AI goes deeper than just the solutions we build – we also need to consider who builds AI solutions and how.

This session presents three dimensions to consider for inclusion and AI: an inclusive AI/ML industry, inclusive models, and inclusive co-design of AI innovation. I’ll share work happening at Microsoft across these dimensions, including how we co-designed Azure AI Studio to be inclusive for developers with disabilities, our cross-industry Speech Accessibility Project that expands disability datasets, and finally, examples of Azure AI customers building accessibility solutions on our platform.
