Accessibility beyond WCAG: EAA & EN 301 549

EN 301 549 is Europe’s standard on ICT accessibility. It includes various requirements not covered by WCAG, including for non-web software, authoring tools, and electronic devices. The European Accessibility Act (EAA), starting June 2025 will mean many organizations across different industries needing to apply these requirements. So in this talk we’ll introduce EN 301 549, and learn how it’s different from WCAG.
