Position Description

Partner with IT teams to successfully deploy and optimize our software in some of the most advanced and highly regulated environments. As part of our Product Operations Team, you’ll be instrumental in streamlining installations, automating deployments, and enhancing customer experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead and execute seamless on-prem installations of Deque’s software for enterprise customers.
- Collaborate with client IT teams to ensure successful deployments while navigating strict security and compliance requirements.
- Automate and optimize installation processes for efficiency and scalability.
- Provide Tier-2 support, troubleshooting installation and configuration issues.
- Train and mentor other Product Operations staff on best practices for on-prem installations.
- Partner with product development, offering insights on customer infrastructure trends and technical challenges.
Requirements
- Technical
- 5+ years of experience as a Linux SysAdmin or Network Engineer in finance, healthcare, government, or similar industry.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8.x/9.x, including system configuration, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
- Deep understanding of RPM and DNF package management, ability to debug dependency conflicts, and installation issues.
- Experience working with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ) in a production environment.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash and Pyston for automation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to debug and resolve network/firewall connectivity issues, including server-to-server and server-to-website communication problems.
- Experience with Dockerized deployments and troubleshooting container-related issues.
- Familiarity with SE Linux, FIPS compliance, and other enterprise security controls.
- Soft Skills
- Ability to lead technical discussions with enterprise IT teams and guide them through installations remotely.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to diagnose and resolve installation issues.
- Experience working in highly regulated environments and understanding enterprise IT concerns.
- Must be comfortable explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders when needed.
- Must be patient, detail-oriented, and persistent in troubleshooting complex issues.
