Not Ready for the New ACAA Regulations?Website accessibility regulations are changing. Is your airline ready?

New ACAA Requirements Are Coming Fast

The Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA) was enacted to protect airline passengers with disabilities against discrimination. On November 12, 2013, the ACAA was amended to require air carriers to make their websites and kiosks accessible. These requirements begin to take effect in December 2015.

Many airlines don’t know how to determine if their websites are accessible, or how to figure out what they need to change. And many airlines will look for a one-time, out-of-the-box solution. Unfortunately, web accessibility doesn’t work that way. Don’t think of web accessibility as a single event but as a journey—one that you should begin with smart planning and purposeful execution. This is a journey your whole company will take, from IT to the executive level. And it’s one that will continue even after you become ACAA compliant. Fortunately, you also have access to exceptional resources and experts who can guide you along the way.
